I was stumbling the articles at work this afternoon and accidentally came across these 18 thought provoking questions. I took a quick glance at the list. Most of the questions are really interesting and require you to think outside the box. You may have never thought about these questions before, but that’s why it is worth spending some time thinking about it. Maybe it will give you a better idea of what truly matters to you.
So here we go! Below are my thinking and answers. –>
If you could make a 30 second speech to the entire world, what would you say?
Hello world! My name is Connie Zhang. You may not know who I am, but one day you will. If Steve Jobs is a genius in the tech world, I want to role the fashion empire! Wait for it…I will prove it someday. (Ah…the first one is always the hardest. I am not sure if I really get that chance, I would say the exact words cause I don’t have any achievement yet. This question is for those successful people. To earn that opportunity, I guess I need to work harder.)
If you were going to die at midnight, what would you be doing at 11:45pm?
Stay with my family and friends. Tell them how much i love them. I always feel I am lucky enough to have a very very sweet and warm family. All my friends are great, though I may not tell them often.
How do you really KNOW anything for sure?
I mean people used to say seeing is believing. But sometimes your eyes can fool you as well. What you think might not be true. What you’ve never thought about might be happening. So I can’t say I know anything for sure. But I think it’s really important to trust yourself, embrace your gut. And you need to know for sure that you are a wonderful person! That’s my spirit.
If you had all the money in the world but still had to have some kind of job, what would you choose to do?
If I really have all the money in the world, then I would not stick with one job. I would like to try different occupations in the rest of my life. I am a typical Aries, so my list is endless. But here are some titles that I really want to have: fashion designer, stylist, artist, actress, model, writer…I also want to work at a coffee shop or own my own book store. Then I can have enough time reading! Oh…amazing life in my dreams.
When you’re 90 years old, what will matter most to you?
My life and my health I guess? Oh yes, my partner’s life as well. My grandpa is actually 90 years old now. I should ask him about this.
What do you regret most so far in life?
I’d rather not answer this in public. But I do have some regrets already. (GG…I am only 23 and I start regretting my life already?! Horrible!)
How can you apply the lesson you learned from that regret to your life TODAY?
Think before you behave. Think before you behave. Think before you behave!!! This is the most important lesson so far.
What would you change if you were told with 100% certainty that God does not exist? Or if you don’t believe in God, that he does exist?
Then I will believe in him. Though I don’t believe in God for now, I do think it’s a good thing to have some belief. I want to believe something, something that can motivate and inspire me. I need to have something in belief that no matter how hard life turns out, I can still stand up one day. I think that’s the root that we all human beings need.
If you lost everything tomorrow, whose arms would you want to run into? Does that person know how much they mean to you?
My dad?? I actually don’t know it until recently. Again, I think I am the luckiest girl in this world to have a father who love me unconditionally and uncritically. He believes me, trusts me, motivates me. Just like what Diane von Furtsenberg said in her book, I also think my good relationship with my dad (the first man in my life) actually makes my life with other men easier.
Do you fear death? If so, do you have a good reason?
I guess the biggest fear for most people is to die before they finish the things they want to do. However, most people are just wasting time and waiting for death to come. They claim to have dreams and goals, yet they don’t even bother to try. Those people are pathetic. As for the rest of people who do work hard to complete something, there should be no regrets. I mean I am proud of myself. I enjoy every second of my life so much that even if I die in the evening tonight, I can accept that. But I don’t want my family and friends to feel the sorrow. That’s one thing I fear about death. You’ll never see them again. That’s pretty scary to me.
What would you change if you knew you were NEVER going to die?
Lol…seriously? Hmmm…maybe try different things then. Once I’ve checked with the list, I’ll commit suicide. There’s no point of living a life forever.
If you were at heaven’s gates, and God asked you “why should I let you in?”, what would you say?
Well, if you’d send me back to earth instead, I’d love to!
When will you be good enough for you? Is there some breaking point where you will accept everything about yourself?
This is actually a tricky one. I am still learning to accept my weaknesses and imperfections. There’s always inner criticism in my head. I sometimes feel like I am too strict with myself, and maybe the closest people around me as well. (Sorry guys!) I am really trying to teach myself how to let it go and relax myself a little bit. With no exaggeration, my brain keeps functioning 24/7 and I haven’t literally relaxed myself once. This is so far my biggest concern.
Is the country you live in really the best fit for you?
Oh yes…I love the states. I love my life here in LA. I’ve only been living in two countries so far, that’s not very convincing. But for now, I do enjoy my life here. If possible, I’d also love to try living in Europe or some unknown village. Far away from the crowd and throw away my phone. I need some quiet space.
What would people say about you at your funeral?
Wth?!………..Seriously I don’t know. I guess most people love me and they enjoy being with me. But there may be some strange people as well. Who knows! And I don’t really care, since I am already dead right?
What small thing could you do to make someone’s day better?
Help them when they need something or just say some nice words to people. I do that all the time. I usually chat a lot with Uber drivers. I’d try my best to make a good conversation and lighten up other’s day.
(If you believe in god) would your relationship with god change it all if you were told with 100% certainty that he was actually a she?
I don’t believe a god, so skip this one =.=
What do you believe stands between you and complete happiness?
My high standard hinders me to feel completely happy sometimes. As I grow older and older, I realize I am a perfectionist. I used to joke about perfectionists because I think they are too picky. But then I realize I can be very demanding sometimes, especially to my boyfriend and ex-boyfriend. So…like I said, I am still learning how to lower my expectation about others and focus on the positive little things.
Woo hoo!! Finally done with answering all these. Now it’s your turn! Share my article on your social platforms and tag me with your answers! I’d love to hear from what you guys think! Xoxo <3
