If you are a fashion follower like me, you’d probably know the current change of the fashion shows. From Tomford to Tommy Hilfiger, and from Burberry to Dior, these main designers now embrace the “see now buy now” trend. Just like what Tomford said in the interview, it makes no sense to pre-show a collection and let the customers wait four months to buy it! The current fashion world is all about fast pace. We, as customers, want to own it as fast as we can! So…i am totally a supporter of this new wave of fashion shows.
New York has always been the center of fashion, just like London, Milan and Paris. But I can also see in recent years, major designers start to turn to LA as well! California has all the sunshine and good weather (though in the past one month, LA has been raining like cats and dogs). Besides, Hollywood is here (hello all the celebrities!) Fashion should also be a big part too!!!
Thankfully, Rebecca Minkoff threw a fashion runway show at the Grove last Saturday. I was fortunate enough to be there and watched the whole show. That’s the first time I got to meet the fashion bloggers and designer so close! I actually got into the VIP session and talked to Aimee Song, Chriselle Lim, and Rebecca Minkoff! Once a dream now became a reality. I am still in a daze.
Here, I want to share some of the pictures I took and I hope you’ll like ’em.
I was so thrilled to talk to Aimee in person! She’s so nice and she even signed my book!!
I asked what she loved about her job, and she said she loved everything about it! That’s so inspiring for me because all these years, I am trying to narrow down my interests and find my passion. One is really lucky if he/she can truly love his/her job. I hope we can all find the things that wake us up every morning and be thrilled about it!

This is my friend Emma. She shot a documentary of me networking with other bloggers, designers, and watching the show …basically it’s about a day of my life! I can’t wait to see the final cut! I will post it once she’s done with all the edits!

But it’s really exciting for me to see all these happening in LA. Tomorrow I am flying to New York for the fashion shows there. Will blog about my experience when I am back!
