Hey folks, how is everybody doing?!! I feel so fortunate that I can work as a model and photographer at Peppina Jewelry by Jen hansen. This is the first time I worked with a real luxury brand and that was so much fun!!!!!
If you have been following my blog for a while, you may know that I have great interest and passion in photography!! When I was in undergraduate school, I was a member of Photography Association in Sun Yat-Sen University. At that time, I often hanged out with my friends who are really good at photography. They taught me how to take photos with good angles and lots of stuffs. But most of the time, I was the model for them! And yessssss, I got lots of great photo shoots (hee hee ~~). But working as a real model with a luxury jewelry brand?!! That was something I didn’t even dare to imagine before!
When I heard that I was going to do the photo shoots, I was super excited! I knew there would be a lot of fun. I knew it!!
So Aili, Colleen, and I spent a whole day setting up everything and doing the photo shoots. That was a lot of work, but everyone enjoyed it. To me, it’s a great time to show my creativity. I put the necklaces and rings on the plants and came up with these nice photos. I like the evil eyes one on the golden rock most. That’s so cute, isn’t it?
You know what, I feel so grateful for being able to do what I am good at right now! It is true that “choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” I feel like I am on my way to achieve more dreams. Even though I am not clear where I will end up, I do cherish every opportunity and try to make an impact!
I guess this is also a great example of what Steve Jobs said about connecting the dots. All the things you are doing right now are somehow related to your past experience. Life always surprises me with these little lucky things!
Recently, some friends of mine complained to me that their internship was kind of boring. Well, I mean…luck doesn’t just drop from the heaven. You gotta be prepared and catch every chance you have. It might be true that what you are doing right now is trivial and not so much fun. But I think what matters more is to keep a positive attitude. Even though you are just an intern, you can still strive to contribute. At least, this is what I have been doing. And see?! I got this awesome opportunity!!!!
To all: unexpected things are always going to happen in life. The only control you have is how you choose to handle them. For me? I have made the decision to use courage, humor, and grace, and become the queen of my life! How about you?
I wish everyone great success in the new year! Be patient. Good things take time!
Xoxo, Sweet Connie!
Happy Chinese New Year wo~
Same to you!!
Such an experience! You probably should have shared more fashion tips. Not necessarily in a beauty-blogger way but just blog them as they were part of life. What am I saying? They ARE part of life of those trying to enjoy living. You know, practically, girls and women always have a soft spot for jewelry. You might dig deeper and talk about this. Or anything you prefer to write… Really I enjoy this entry as much as I did before.
Hey Val! I am so glad that you enjoy reading my article! I was flattered!AND yes you are right, I’ll definitely begin to write about fashion! To be honest, my original thought was to start a fashion blog, but I then realized it was time-consuming and it cost a lot of money. I couldn’t afford to buy different Chanel bags or Celine whatever! (I know most bloggers do) But thanks for reminding me this!! Maybe I can try to teach people how to dress in a chic style without spending a lot hee hee~
Absolutely. People got different life style and I totally adore those bloggers who can spent a fortune completing their collections. Yet I love your idea on “being affordably chic” no less than drooling over Chanel bags. You sure can see why someone in our lives stands out so much even when they simply wear T-shirts and jeans. Such charisma can not just be bought. Also I read an article on how dressing for success at work can pay off. It’s from NPR in case you wonder. Good luck!
